About the Title

The Journal of Science is an international, open-access and double-blind peer-reviewed journal for the study and advancement of science. Founded and sponsored by the Science chapter of the Academy of Science and Social Science, the journal serves as a vital link between research and practice. It offer readers with the most accomplished and authoritative scholarship in the field to advance knowledge of the major substantive issues that affect the theory and practice of science.

The ongoing mission of Journal of Science is to publish high-quality, stimulating scholarship that extends the boundaries of science. The journal comprehensively covers such areas as: natural science (e.g. physical science, physics, chemistry), earth science (e.g. ecology, oceanography, geology, meteorology), life science (e.g. biology, zoology, human biology, botany), formal science (e.g. mathematics, statistics, computer science), and applied science (e.g. engineering, medicine).

In the pages of Journal of Science, you will find a variety of useful, informative and thought-provoking features, including research papers, conceptual papers, technical papers, case studies, literature reviews, general reviews, viewpoints, and short communications.

Journal of Science positions itself as a high impact A-ranked journal in Science that is abstracted and indexed in (forthcoming): EBSCO; ProQuest; PubMed; Science Citation Index (ISI Web of Science); SCOPUS.

Journal of Science maintains a very rapid electronic submission, review and publication process. The turnaround time and quality of review comments ranks amongst the best in the field (average of 4 – 8 weeks from submission to a first decision). The anticipated acceptance rate is 8-9%.

Each volume comprises of four issues. Each issue is published once there are five accepted articles. This helps to keep a low turnaround time from manuscript acceptance to publication.
